Your phone gets answered.
Every call, every night, in Portland OR.

A managed AI receptionist for HVAC, plumbing, electrical and roofing shops around the Portland metro. $397 a month, answering in five business days.

5.0 on Google Read reviews Beaverton, OR — serving the Portland metro Live in 5 business days

It's 7:40pm in January. The no-heat call goes to voicemail.

He is cold, he has two kids in the house, and he is already dialing the next company on the list. Almost nobody leaves a message when the third result answers on the second ring. That call was worth $300 on the easy end and well into four figures if the blower motor is gone — and you will never know it rang.

The usual fixes do not fix it. A message-taking answering service runs $135–$400 a month (Housecall Pro, 2026 answering-service cost guide) and still hands you a note instead of a booked job. A full-time receptionist earns a median $37,230 a year (U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, May 2024) and goes home at five. Front Desk is $397 a month and does not go home.

Price

One price a month, no minute-by-minute meter, no surprise line items. Front Desk answers your phone. Front Desk + Found adds the website and your Google profile.

Front Desk
$397 a month
Pay plans from month-to-month to annual

Your phone gets answered. Every time. Even at 2am on a Sunday.

  • Answered in three rings, 24/7, on the number already on your truck
  • Takes the name, callback number, address and what is broken
  • Books the job on your calendar while they are still on the phone
  • Texts you inside a minute with the details and the recording
  • Emergencies ring your cell; everything else waits for morning
  • English or Spanish, automatically

Fair use 1,000 talk minutes a month. No overage rate.

Market Leader
$1,997 a month
Pay plans from month-to-month to annual

For the shop that wants the whole service area, town by town.

  • Everything in Front Desk + Found, with double the talk minutes again
  • City pages and content for each town you actually drive to
  • Map-grid ranking report by town, not one number for “Portland”
  • Call tracking so you know which job came from which source
  • Quarterly strategy call and priority support

Fair use 4,000 talk minutes a month.

Want the receptionist only? Front Desk is $397 a month on its own — there is no cheaper tier hiding behind it. Buying one service at a time instead? Use the tabs above.

Pick one and the next question is how fast it happens. Five business days.

Answering your phone in five business days.

You spend about twenty minutes on it. I do the rest, and you keep the number that is already on your truck.

  1. Day 1A twenty-minute call: your services, your prices, your hours, the towns you drive to, and what counts as an emergency worth waking you up for.
  2. Day 2I write the script and build the receptionist around your business, then connect it to your calendar so it can book real slots.
  3. Day 3I call it myself, dozens of times, and try to break it — bad reception, angry caller, half an address, someone asking for a price you do not quote.
  4. Day 4You call it. Anything that sounds wrong to you gets fixed before a single customer hears it.
  5. Day 5Forwarding goes live on your existing number. Nothing to announce, nothing to port, nothing for your customers to learn.
  6. MonthlyI listen to your real calls once a month and retune the script, so it gets sharper instead of drifting.

Websites and Google Business Profile work run on their own timelines — a site is usually about a week, and local visibility compounds over months. Those steps are laid out on the services page.

The seven questions everybody asks

Straight answers. The rest are on the full FAQ page.

What does it actually cost?
Front Desk is $397 a month flat, with a fair-use allowance of 1,000 talk minutes and no minute-by-minute meter. Front Desk + Found is $897 a month and adds the website and your Google profile. Market Leader is $1,997 a month for a multi-town service area. Pay plans run from month-to-month to annual, and paying twelve months up front saves 15%.
Will it sound like a robot?
Judge it yourself — the demo above talks back in your browser, no phone call needed. It pauses, asks follow-up questions, and handles being interrupted. Your version is trained on your prices, your service area and your booking rules.
What happens when it cannot answer something?
It takes the message, texts and emails you the full transcript, and flags it for follow-up. Anything you have told us counts as an emergency rings your cell directly instead.
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You keep the number on your truck and your business cards. We set up forwarding so it picks up when you cannot — there is nothing to port and nothing to tell your customers.
How fast does this happen?
The receptionist is answering in five business days. A website is usually about a week of build once we have your content. Local visibility is the slow one — the profile work lands in days, but ranking moves over months, not weeks.
Am I locked into anything?
The receptionist and the Google profile work run month-to-month on 30 days’ notice. Websites are different: we build the site up front and bill it monthly, so those run for an agreed term. You will see that term in writing before you sign anything.
What about robocalls and junk calls?
Obvious robocalls get screened before they reach your receptionist, and the screening keeps improving. I am not going to promise a perfect filter — if junk calls ever start eating into your minutes, tell me and we will sort it out.
